AN EXPLORATIVE STUDY ON SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE AMONG POST GRADUATE TEACHERS IN MADURAI DISTRCIT, TAMIL NADU

Abstract

Social intelligence is a very significant in the current human life style owing to increasing mind stress, tensions and some varied difficulties in life. There is an importance for learning and enhance   the different life skills for managing our life styles, inter personal relationships and to accomplish life goals. The research main purpose is to find out the gender wise, and subject stream wise social intelligence among post graduate teachers those who are working in various schools of Madurai District, Tamil Nadu. Descriptive survey method used to conduct study. Data collected by using stratified random sampling technique with 120 post graduate teachers, among them 60 is male teachers and 60 is female. Data collected through Social Intelligence Scale (SIS) which was constructed and standardized by Chadda and Usha Ganesan (2009). Mean, SD. The ‘t’ test was demeanor to evaluate the data. The findings were indicated that there is no major differentiation between female and male post graduate teachers’, there is no important disparity between urban and rural post graduate teachers’, and there is no noteworthy divergence between science and arts post graduate teachers’. This means there is no particular reason to differ in variables.
